México en Red's Movies section was updated once a week with current movie schedules and information on each movie. This section evolved including maps and photos of theaters located in Mexico City, complete movie information with pictures, summary and reviews. Highlights:

• In coordination with theater operators, Mexred organized contests to give away tickets to premiere presentations. The Movie Section also included feature sites on popular movies, including Anaconda, Striptease, Star Trek, Escape from L.A., and Mission: Impossible.
• Cinemark contracted Mexred for a branded site inside the movies section.
• The movies section became real popular within a few months of being created. It was awarded "Best entertainment site" by ISP Internet de México.
