New York Photos
I’ve been real busy lately working on a Proof of Concept (Business Process Management related) and at last got a chance to post some photos from my trip to New York. I went with my brother and had a great time there. Some highlights of our trip:
- Visited four museums, American Museum of Natural History, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Museum of Modern Art (my personal favorite) and the Guggenheim.
- Made a quick visit to Central Park, on the day of Cory Lidle’s plane crash.
- Attended three Broadway plays, Spamalot, The Lion King and The Producers. Spamalot is simply hilarious and I highly recommend it if you like to laugh. The Lion King has a great production but was a bit dramatic for my taste. The Producers was OK, with a peculiar kind of humor.
- Rode the ferry to Liberty Island to saw the Statue of Liberty (not really that impressive)
- Visited the Empire State 86th and 102nd floors (Tip: Don’t go on Saturday, unless you like crowded places)
- Did some shoppin; my favorite store was (quite obviously) the Fifth Avenue Apple Store which is just great but a bit crowded even at night. Times Square is also a must stop for shopping, particularly Swatch and Toys ‘R Us.
- I used the subway and walked a lot. Had a couple of “fun” incidents with the subway, by boarding an express train when I shouldn’t have… and by entering the wrong station (who knew some stations for trains of the same line going north and south are not communicated underground…).
P.S. For those of you that haven’t heard, I’m selling my bike, click for details.
Update: Sold bike :).
