Ultimate Web Development war
I saw these products placed side by side at my local supermarket and couldn't resist to post it. I guess it's just another chapter in the Flash vs AJAX war.

What??????????
Sorry, I’m totally confused. Is this like Flash Gordon, comic superhero, vs. Ajax, hero of the Trojan War?
Is the strategy to look so much like the other that an unsuspecting housewife buys you accidentally?

Hi Gabi,
Like the above comment says, apparently I’m indeed a nerd. It’s actually a battle to create interactive experiences in websites, sometimes called Web 2.0. Flash is a technology developed by Macromedia (now Adobe) to create richer internet applications and most commonly games. I’m sure you have played some Flash games, here’s a good one: Flow. AJAX is a competing technology, it stands for Asynchronous JavaScript and XML, and is mostly used for nice web applications, not so much for games. If you have a Gmail account or have ever used Google Maps or Google Reader then you have used some AJAX based applications (If not, try them now!). Hopes this clarifies the funny side of this picture
